Hey, I’m Katie!
As a kid, I spent hours curled up on the couch reading stories of Christian missionaries like Jim Elliot, Hudson Taylor, and Amy Carmichael. I saw the faithfulness of God in those stories–money arriving in the mail just in time or a miraculous escape from danger–I also saw their joy of living a surrendered life to Christ. Their stories inspired me to trust Jesus with my life at a young age.
As a teen, I devoured the digital pages of a magazine for Christian women. The words in those articles convicted and encouraged me with biblical truth and practical application. That magazine showed me I don’t need to become a missionary or move overseas to live a surrendered life and experience God’s faithfulness. The gospel could impact my entire life right where I was.
The living Word of God, woven through all of those books, articles, and stories, helped me grow as a Christian. It also ignited a dream. A dream to become one of the storytellers and gospel weavers who point others to Jesus. That led me to start writing.
While writing, I also work alongside my husband assisting small businesses with online marketing and digital media and serve as a worship leader at my church. I live in a city near the Canadian Rocky Mountains where you can find me soaking up the outdoors during summer and curled up with a cup of coffee and a book during winter.
My desire is to use written words to share the goodness of Jesus and help others experience the freedom and joy found in the gospel. 🤍
